More Snow Pics
At least I hope so. There have been 2 power outages today. Branches and wires are so loaded with snow, they're just crumbling, and knocking out power. I hope I'll get these up before there's another outage.
Remember this picture?
This is as close as I could get it today.
This is the parking lot of my apartment building. Yesterday, at 4pm, the snow had all been moved. This was taken at about 4pm today.
More Trees
This tree is badly damaged, and will need to be removed in the Spring.
The branches on this one actually point straight up, usually.
It's been snowing continuously today, and it's still snowing. I honestly can't remember the last time we got so much snow in about 72 hours.

Wow, that's a lot of snow in a short period of time! We had a winter like that a few years ago and I have to say, I'm thankful for the mild winter we're having here (in New Hampshire) this year.

Well, I was wondering what was happening in the snowbelt. Now I know. Not good. We've had lots more snow than normal but nothing like that. And it keeps raining in between and getting all icy. We are at normal this week: -10 in the morning, sunny, blue sky... Maybe we'll even get to skate on the canal.

OMG Ted! What's all that stuff on the trees, the lawns, the cars?? That's incredible! It looks like someone sprayed everything is sight with tons and tons of fire retardant! I've never seen anything like that before...
Well, maybe once before I did, long ago, in a dream, I think. It was not a pleasant experience. It DOES look beautiful, in a picture/postcard type of way. Something I don't really want to experience IN PERSON!!
Gee, why don't you try to escape and hideout at my place for awhile, until this mess is all over, and you can get back to normal -- like we are over here!!
(btw, for all the readers, I am in Calgary, Canada -- land of Big Sky Country, the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and snowless winters with +10 tomorrow)

I love the photos. You've really captured the bleakness of winter, but also the promise and freshness of it all. I have to say that while I hated snow whenever I was around it, your pictures have made me wish that we in sunny Queensland on the other side of the world had a bit more delineation between our seasons so that we might get the odd flake... it would also mean I could wear my knitwear more often, dammit!

And to think that I was annoyed because we had torrential rain in Wellington today!!! Good thing you've knitted yourself some amazing sweaters and socks for yourself.

Ted, where are you? We've got snow still, and periods of white-out conditions...I walked the dog this morning, so this evening's task is Ron's. I can't see the ground, so I don't know how much show there is.
