Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat
Back in October when Joe and I were talking with Dave from Easton Mountain about holding the Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat (MSKR) there, Dave asked how many guys we’d be expecting. Joe and I looked at each other.
I mentally catalogued all the male knitters I know that I might be able to blackmail to attend.
“Uh…6…?” I offered, tentatively. "Maybe?"
Joe reports that we are up 26 registered participants. I’m stunned. (In a good way.) Easton Mountain has capped our registration at 30 participants, ‘though when we hit that number they’ll start a waiting list.
This means there are 4 spaces available. So, guys, if you are shilly-shallying about attending, you may want to step up to your phone with your credit card and call Easton Mountain to plunk down your deposit on your bed. See here for the toll free number for Easton Mountain. Yes, it works from Canada.
When Michele Minty wrote to say that she’d posted a picture of my version of “Ene’s Scarf” that I’d worked in her yarn on her blog, I went for a look-see. There I found a link to the blog for her buddy Bill Stearman, a shepherd in Prince Edward County in Ontario, Canada.
Bill has some great pictures of his flock, which is made up of Shetland and BFLs. (Bluefaced Leicesters?) Go for a look-see yourself.
