Because I can't think of anything else to call it.
Picture taken off the balcony this morning. Today was a beautiful bright, sunny day. Autumn is definitely here. Trees are changing colour, there's a nice nip in the air, plenty of apples at the fruitstand.
And the days are noticeably shorter.Time to get out my SAD light.
See you all next week, when I've caught my breath from FibreFest North.
I hope it goes well.

Such a beautiful picture. We don't get that kind of colour in the trees here. I am sooo sad I won't be there to see it (and you of course). Best wishes.

Oh, yes, I noticed the drop in light this week, too. It feels as if we've lost an hour of daylight at the end of the day in a week, though I know it must have been more subtle than that.
Oddly enough, we seem to have a lot more colour and a lot more orange than you do, even though we're a bit south.

Autumn is my favorite time of year. You get it just before we do here in upstate NY.
I'm so sorry that I won't be able to attend FiberFest. Hope it all goes well.

Lovely! That's one of the things I miss about Ontario.
Being a delicate little PNW flower, I don't miss the cold, though ... or the heat!

what is your 'sad light'?

Gorgeous! Our leaves have been turning for a while here but they don't have the vibrancy they usually do. I don't know if the drought we had this summer is to blame or not.
I'm a winter gal so we're heading into my season. My doctor says I'm the only one she knows who could go off of anti-depressants in the winter.
