It is hard for me to imagine that the plum kuchen could be better than it looks, because it looks wonderful! I think I'm going to make one this weekend.

Could you post/or share the recipe for the Plum Kuchen? My grandmother used to make it and it was wonderful, however it was amoung the recipe's I didn't get before she downsized in preperation for moving.

The dish you made was called a "quick cobbler" by my grandmother. I know there are sometimes subtle differences between cobbler, kuchen, brown betty, clafouti, and crisp. When you use perfectly ripe fruit, you can't go wrong with any of them.

Speaking of oboes...do you know any musicians in the Whitby/Oshawa area who would be interested in joining a concert band? We're full for flutes right now, but need a piccolo, clarinets, trumpets, French horn, oboe, saxes, trombones....
