Sounds like a great idea. I'm in Albany (about 30 miles away) if you would like to attend as a commuter (or just want to visit).


I'm sure the retreat will do you good, even if it doesn't help you sort out a new career path right away. While I have the advantage of being relatively secure in my position, I'm not happy with it and am looking for a change. Eventually, I figure something workable will come up.


If your job goes away this year, does that mean you'll have to submit your own governmental application for retraining?

I concur with your comment on the different methods that work/don't work for people to learn things. Even though I'm a voracious reader, I learn more by doing or experiencing as well, Ted. Sounds like a great retreat.
